A Heads-up

As Christmas bells toll, chilly breeze is felt, tinted lanterns accentuate homes, and as we are loomed by the most awaited part of the year, may we be reminded of its supreme and topmost essence – thanksgiving and giving.

This time of year doesn’t only remind us to rekindle our love and generosity among our fellows but also to assess and measure to what extent our kindness and helping hands have rippled in effect in the lives of those whom we have mingled and encountered for the passing year by way of thanking the Most High for the possibilities of being a pipeline of blessing among those whom boons are due.

Christmas is truly a season for us to reckon and remember the birth of our only Savior Jesus Christ. If we discern that we haven’t done our best, it isn’t yet late to pause for a moment, bend on our knees, and whisper an earnest prayer of forgiveness, guidance and thanksgiving to God. If we hardly do it now, the question is when? If not here, where? If not you, who?

Let us openly face each day of the year with confidence and persistence so as to create a proactive and rippling effect onto the lives of those whom we kindle and touch along the way. May our actions and words bring blessing and power among its recipients and allow each deed done to be  multiplied and cherished regardless of what season.

This paramount season when one optimizes the value of giving more than receiving is a season-symbol for us to express our unconditional kindness and generosity to anyone regardless of who and what they are. May we always inculcate in our minds and hearts that we must be nice to others not because they are nice but because we are.

Jesus Christ Himself is a man of few words and a great figure who is worthy of utmost emulation by words, deeds, and thoughts. He spoke less but were emphatic and resounding up to this present day. He lived an earthly life full of thanksgiving in His heart no matter what situation He was in and above all, He humbled down himself by giving His life on the cross at Calvary for the redemption of sins of all humanity regardless of race, color, culture, and beliefs.

May this period of celebration remind us to offer our thanks to the Lord Most High whether it be in sickness or health, joy or grief, and testimonies or trials.
